LOCATIONS, LOCATIONS, AND MORE LOCATIONS

Where Can You Post Ads and Information About You and Your Business? There Are More Locations Than You Think.

By Gary Christensen

How can you reach more customers? That's easier than you think. Do you realize there are many locations where you can place a notice about your business? Let's look at a few of them:

1. License Plate--Get your business name on your own vehicle's license plate or plate frame.

2. Press Release--Always send out a release when you develop a new product or offer a new service.

3. Letterhead--Put your business product names, phone numbers, and addresses on each one.

4. Holiday Cards--Make sure your business name, product name, phone and address are on every card you mail.

5. Free Samples--When you offer anything FREE to customers, be sure your business info is printed on each sample you give away.

6. Your Newsletter--If you're the publisher of a newsletter, be sure to include all necessary info about your business in each issue.

7. Directories--Place some notices about your business or about your product line in as many yearly directories as you can.

8. Answering Machines--Your phone message is a great place to advertise. Put a few words about your business at the end of your phone message greeting.

9. Online Profile--Many servers allow you to "post" information about you, which other members can then access.

10. Every Email--Place your business or product information at the bottom of each email you send.

11. Fax Sheets--Is your business information being included, automatically, with every Fax you send? It should be.

12. Coupons--Use them and give a discount to customers with your business information on each one.

13. Personal or Business Checks--Have a line or two of business/product information added to every check.

14. Yellow Pages--Even a line or two about your business should be in every copy going to every house in your town.

15. Rubber Stamp--Place your business information on a rubber stamp and then stamp it on every piece of outgoing mail.

These are by no means the only methods of advertising your business, product, or service. Look around for other new places where you can post ads.
