STUMBLING UPON SUCCESS

Quite Often, Success is Elusive When We Enter Into Business Without Any Sort of Plan to Follow.
By Gary Christensen

In the early years, Success and I didn't spend much time together. It always seemed to be in someone else's corner...or I was trying to find it in all the wrong places. When I was trying to find a winning product, with a winning way of making money, I had no formulas, no guidelines, so I didn't even know what I was looking for.

I've since discovered that what I needed to do was find a Company or Plan that contained these Seven Indicators of Sales Success:

1. A Product--This should be a product that is appealing to most everyone. The wider the appeal, the better the chance of finding more people who would buy it. What could be better than something that is edible and also delicious? Anyone who eats would be a potential buyer.

2. A Reliable Source--If a company has already been in business for seven or eight years, it's a better bet than a New Start company. And if the company has been a success for more than 15 years, even better still.

3. Low Emphasis on Earnings Potential--Most of the promotional flyers that I had read all promised great earnings, in just a few weeks or months. If I ever found a company that didn't spend most of their advertising space telling me about how much I could earn, I actually might consider signing up with them. It only took me 30 years to find one!

4. Little or No Entry Fee--When you have a great idea or a great product, or both, and you have thousands of satisfied customers, with a 15-year track record, you don't need to charge a high entry fee! So, when I found one that charged me nothing to join, with a delicious product and a great track record, I immediately joined.

5. Ads Placed For You--When a company is willing to do the advertising for you (for a small, additional monthly fee) I say, "Why not?" They have the experience, they have the track record, why fight a good thing? So, yes there is a monthly fee, but you do get a package of their most delightful products to eat, so it makes the extra monthly charge much easier to swallow!

6. Sales People Are Added Under You--Does that sound strange? It did to me! What company advertises for you and places people in your downline for you? Once this company's advertising secures new buyers ad agents, these new people are then added to YOUR own downline! They want you to succeed. That's what they do, and they do it well!

7. Success is Assured--With most companies, they give you their advertising copy and "turn you loose." It's true that some companies guide you and encourage you and some are there to answer your questions and help you along, but you're pretty much on your own. The company that I work with is out to assure my success. They are doing all that they can to guarantee that I will succeed.

There you have it. If you're seeking a company to work with, find out how long they have been around. Find out how much they charge to allow you to join. Find out if they advertise for you and if they'll help to place new agents under you. If they do some of these seven things, you've found success. Or you're certainly much closer to it than ever before.
