Still Reluctant to Use a Computer and the Internet? Why Not Give it a Try? It's a Lot Easier Than You Think.
By Ed Justice
I have people asking me about computers all the time and I finally decided to start telling them the facts. It's easy to use your computer and the Internet without wasting years of your time. If you truly want to become a computer/Internet guru in "short order," all you have to do is follow this simple and easy method. YOU...Can Do This!!!
THE FIRST STEP
The first step is by far the most important of all and if you don't get it right, you can be leading yourself on a wild goose chase. So be sure that you are, first and foremost, honest with yourself.
Ask yourself what you want to do with both your computer and the Internet. Be honest and you won't waste a lot of unnecessary time on this step.
THE NEXT STEP
Be very sure that you have your plan for using your computer and the Internet figured out (for the most part). Now you must decide exactly which software and/or hardware you're going to need to accomplish your objective, whatever that objective is.
A COUPLE OF THINGS I DID
To help me with my decision about what software and hardware I would need, I did two things that helped lead me to my conclusion.
First, I got one of the publications that lets people list their computers and software to sale for free. Then I started calling people who had the software and hardware that I thought might be what I would need to accomplish what I was preparing to use my computer for. This could be some of the best computer and software education you may ever get. What this did, was help me to decide on the right piece's of software I needed. This kept me from wasting a ton of money on useless software that would really only get me started, but not help me complete the task at hand.
YES, the software may be more than you really wanted to spend right off, but in the end can actually save you thousands of dollars that you could have wasted on useless software, but don't forget, you're talking to people who have software for sale and can easily get an older version of the software that would be all you would need to accomplish your mission. You can also use one of the bid sites to do the same thing with. You may need more than one piece of software, but just go ahead and be sure to get exactly the software program you need in the beginning and not only will you save money in the long run, but you'll also save a massive amount of time, as well.
To decide exactly the hardware you're going to need, you can use the same method used above.
YOUR FINAL STEP
Now you have the exact hardware and software that you need to accomplish what you have decided to use your computer and the Internet for. Here is where you'll save more time and frustration than anywhere else.
To be a computer and/or Internet Guru, all you have to do is learn ONLY that part of the hardware and software program (s) that you need to accomplish the task(s) at hand.
Do not...I repeat...Do Not waste your time learning any parts of the Computer, Hardware, Software or the Internet that you do not need to specifically know to accomplish EXACTLY what you want to accomplish with your computer and/or the Internet.
CONCLUSION
If you'll follow this simple method, you'll save yourself a massive amount of time and frustration that you would have not had to endure otherwise. I hope that in your adventures, this article can be of at least some help to you.
