I'm going to reveal to you the secret of secrets. This valuable information has cost me many sleepless nights and thousands of dollars to acquire. Once I learned this secret, I not only began to make more money, but I made it faster and easier than I ever had before.
I've listened to so many "would-be" leaders on the phone talking about how hard it is to get people to do anything. They give them marketing tools, they give them training and support, they even put new recruits under them to help them along--all to no avail. If only they knew the secret.
I've been teaching this concept ever since I learned it, which is what I do with everything I learn that really works. Some people get it, but most of them don't. And the ones that don't are the ones who need it the most. Sounds strange, doesn't it?
So what's the big secret? What is it that helped me make more money faster and easier than ever before? What is the answer to how to turn an opportunity seeker into a serious networker? The answer is--YOU CAN'T, SO STOP BEATING YOUR HEAD AGAINST THE WALL AND LET IT GO. That's right--stop wasting your time.
You see, there is a small percentage of the opportunity seeker market that are serious. Give the right tools and support, they will become leaders and really make some money for themselves. But the vast majority of these fine folks are very interested in making money, they love support and marketing materials, and they really want to do something. But they lack the one big element needed for success--commitment.
My friend, Roger Mason, describes the usual scenario of how the average opportunity seeker gets all hyped up when they first receive their new moneymaking kit. Some read the instructions and follow through, usually with the most minimal amount of effort. Still many others put the package aside, telling themselves they'll look it over tomorrow. Within 30 to 60 days, they're ordering more programs and repeating the process. I'd say this description is pretty accurate, although I think a lot of these folks are ordering programs two or three at a time and not doing anything with any of them.
It's just like all these fat loss programs and the wild exercise equipment that are advertised on those television infomercials. Remember a few years ago when they had about 27,000 different kinds of abdominal exercisers? Every single one of them was better than the last thousand. How many of those things were sold at garage sales for next to nothing?
I'm a bit of an exercise buff and I know for a fact that a lot of the claims made in these infomercials are bogus. So why don't people complain? Because almost no one actually uses any of the stuff they buy and they certainly don't go to the trouble of following the directions that are given. Does that sound familiar?
Everyone's looking for the "easy way to wealth," but it's right under their nose and they can't or don't want to see it. Take control, make a commitment to stick to and really work a program.
However, as myself and many others before me have discovered, the term "opportunity seeker" is synonymous with "tire kicker." Day after day, I talk to folks who claim to have tried every program out there and none of them have worked. But when I try to pin them down as to the specifics of what they really did, I hear a different story. Purchasing a program or joining an MLM company does not constitute "trying" any more than checking a book out of the library and then returning it two weeks later constitutes "reading."
My associates and I have sweated and toiled trying to write just the right words in just the right way to help these lost souls see the truth. And you know what? It was all a waste of time.
Oh, I'm sure I got through to a few folks but they probably had a good idea what was going on beforehand. And I certainly don't mean to belittle all the fine folks who've written me over the years to tell me how much my materials have helped them. I just decided to start telling it like it is and help the ones (the few) who really want help and not a free ride. Doing that has eased my mind and allowed me to really give all I have to helping the ones who really want it.
